The Story Behind Atlas Prints
My name’s Harry, and I grew up near Cambridge in the UK.
I’ve always had a fascination with the world – its cities, coastlines, and cultures. That curiosity eventually took me across Thailand, Cambodia, Australia, and through much of Europe — Greece, Croatia, Portugal, Italy, Spain, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and more.
Each trip left a mark. Every place had a memory – the kind that lingers long after you’ve returned home.
That’s what inspired Atlas Prints: the idea of creating posters that let people commemorate a place they love and feel that happy nostalgia each time they see it on their wall.
What Atlas Prints is
Each poster starts with a destination I've visited or felt deeply drawn to, and is designed from scratch to capture its character — not as a photograph, but as a piece of art in the tradition of the great vintage travel posters of the mid-20th century.
The goal is simple: when you look at one of these prints on your wall, you should feel something. A memory, a longing, the quiet pleasure of a place that means something to you.
Every order is printed locally — in the UK, Australia, Europe, and the US — on museum-grade 200gsm+ paper. That means faster delivery, less environmental impact, and a quality that genuinely stands up to framing and a lifetime on your wall.
What I believe in
-
Nostalgic By Design
Inspired by the golden age of travel — when a poster could make you want to book a ticket.
-
Printed Close to Home
Local print partners worldwide. Faster delivery, lower emissions, better quality control.
-
Made to Last
Museum-grade 200+gsm paper. Not the kind of thing you replace in a year.
-
Independent, always
Atlas Prints is just me. Every design is personal, every order is appreciated.
Thank you for supporting a small, independent brand. It genuinely means a lot — and I hope whichever print you choose brings a little of that travel feeling home.
